Lifting Credit Freezes for EPCS Identity Verification
This guide is an extension of the EPCS Identity Confirmation Error FAQ found here.
drchrono's ID verification partner, Symantec, works directly with Experian when verifying your identity. Although this is not a credit check, if your account has a credit freeze for security reasons, you will not be able to move through this process normally.
You will first need to contact Experian to have the security freeze lifted. You can do that here.
Once you have the freeze lifted, it generally takes 2-3 weeks for Symantec to sync with the Experian database. We suggest that you attempt to verify your identity after 10 days.
drchrono does not have any insight or authority in regards to credit freezes. To keep the integrity of our EPCS security in check you must work with Experian to lift the freeze on your end.
