I Need Information About Meaningful Use Attestation, How Do I Get Started? Where Do I Go?

Medicare Attestation

Medicare attestation is completed through the CMS Registration and Attestation system. If you are participating in a Medicare incentive program you can click on the below link to begin your attestation.

The deadline to register and attest for the Medicare Meaningful Use incentive program in any reporting year is the end of February of the following year.

Medicaid Attestation

Medicaid, however, is different, it is administered through the states, and each state has a slightly (or significantly) different approach to the program. Medicaid EPs should contact their states for information about how to attest.

When attesting for the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program, you’ll prove your Medicaid patient volume each year and complete the process through your state Medicaid program. We have copied the grid of state programs maintained by CMS, and converted into a spreadsheet file for ease-of-use, summarizing the launch dates, information and contact details for each state participating in the program.

The deadline for the Medicaid program may differ by state, so check your state’s website for the most accurate information or contact CMS.
