Will my claims be charged?

  • drchrono will not charge you for any electronic claims to the EDI Medical Payer unless you use the payer ID that starts with PRNT/GPRNT/HPRNT. All the payer ID’s that starts with PRNT/GPRNT/HPRNT are created manually so the claims will be sent out by paper from our clearinghouse’s end. You will need to make sure that you are choosing the correct payer ID from the drop down.

  • If you do not want to get charged for additional claims, we suggest you print the claims out from your office and mail it out to the insurance company.

  • When you are printing the HCFA form to mail it out from your end, follow the steps given below:
  1. Choose the following “Billing Status” (Bill Insurance / Auto Accident / Workers comp) and click on “Verify and Save”.
  2. To print the HCFA / 1500 (Text), click on “HCFA / 1500 (Text)”.
  3. This will download the HCFA Text in a PDF. Save it to your computer and open them in Adobe Reader (PDF). In the Print Set up window, choose “Actual” size and the page set up as “US Letter”.
