If you need or want to change clearinghouses, the process is pretty straightforward. It will usually just require a redo of the enrollment paperwork. While payers will accept incoming claims from multiple sources (clearinghouses, mailed forms, payer portals), the ERA or Electronic Remittance will only be sent to 1 place. So all claims processed will appear on the 1 ERA, which depending on the circumstances, could go into your previous EMR.
