The process of transitioning clearinghouses is pretty straightforward. It will usually just require a redo of the enrollment paperwork. While payers will accept incoming claims from multiple sources (multiple clearinghouses, mailed forms, payer portals), the ERA or Electronic Remittance will only be sent to one destination/system. So all claims processed will appear on the single ERA, which depending on the circumstances, could go into your previous EMR.
