Telemedicine Appointments: A Patient Perspective
Once you schedule a telemedicine appointment through DrChrono, your patient will receive a confirmation email that alerts them that a telemedicine appointment has been scheduled. The email prompts them to briefly sign in and verify their insurance and contact information. If a patient does not have a Chiron account, they will be guided through the steps of account setup. They may finish this process right before the appointment begins though it is recommended that this step is completed ahead of their appointment date.
When your patient clicks on the 'Sign In Now' button, they'll confirm their insurance and consent information prior to the appointment.
After they have confirmed their information, they may view their telemedicine appointment and select 'Start Appointment' to join your videoconference appointment.
