DrChrono supports the import of appointment data for patients from external spreadsheet files.
When provided this way, the spreadsheet must adhere to one row per appointment per patient (see template file linked to this article).
Prerequisite: A demographics import should already have been completed before attempting to load appointments. We can only import appointments for patients who already exist in DrChrono.
The following data is required for the creation of appointments:
|Patient's last name||"Smith", "Jones-Lewis", "De Leon"||Patient must exist in DrChrono|
|Patient's first name||"John", "Mary Sue"||Patient must exist in DrChrono|
|Appointment Date and Time||"01/01/2019 4:00 PM" or "01/01/2019 16:00"||
Both date AND time must be provided.
Note: date and time can exist in separate columns.
The following data is optional and may be provided in addition to the required data above:
|Patient's date of birth||01/01/1980, 1980-01-01||used to accurately locate patient in DrChrono|
|Doctor Name||"John Smyth", or "John Smyth, MD"||if not provided, will default to main provider of practice group|
|Appointment Reason||"Follow up","Yearly Check-up",etc||100-character limit. Please keep this short, or it will be omitted.|
|Appointment Notes||Any text||No character limit; optional.|
|Appointment Duration||"15", "30", "60", "120", etc||If not provided, will default to 5 minutes|
|Office Name||"Primary Office", "Exampleville"||If not provided, will default to very first DrChrono office in account.|
|Exam Room||"Exam 1", "Main Room"||If not provided, will default to very first exam room.|
Name of appointment profile MUST EXACTLY MATCH the name of a profile already defined in your DrChrono "Custom Fields" settings

Once your file is ready, please submit it to your DrChrono Representative to have completed.
