Previously, the date recorded for the VIS (Vaccination Information Statement) is today or the day the VIS was signed which is based on the date/time of the computer if done electronically. Now users can select another date in the past. However, a user is not be allowed to select a date in the future.
To view

Open a patient’s chart.

Click on the “Immunizations” tab on the left side menu.

Click on the “Step 2: Review and Sign” sub tab.

Click on the “Sign Consent Form” button.
- Users will be able to view current/up to date VIS for any vaccine.
- For combination vaccines, users will see a separate VIS for each shot.
- The Step 2: Review & Sign screen will show a hyperlink that when clicked will redirect the user to the correlating VIS PDF from the CDC on a different tab.
