Using Voice Commands for Speech-to-Text on the iPad

The Voice Commands functionality allows you to make edits to system documents by speaking, rather than by manually editing the text.

To access the Voice Commands functionality, click or tap Speech-to-Text Settings on the Settings screen, as shown below.

The following screen is displayed. The Real-Time Speech-to-Text option transcribes as you speak, rather than waiting until you are finished speaking to transcribe. The Enable New Voice Commands option allows you to use specific phrases. Tap Restart Now to enable.

Tap on the M*Modal (Speech_to_text_menu_icon.png) icon to see a list of Voice Commands on the What Can I Say? screen, shown in the following illustration.

You can use the commands to navigate the note while you dictate.
