If you prescribe medications for narcotics addiction, you can enter your NADEAN by going to Account > Provider Settings and selecting the eRx Info tab. Once entered, your NADEAN will transmit with your prescription.
When prescribing, the system will check which is an addiction management drug. Based on the associated diagnosis code the NADEAN pop up will either be prompted or not appear. However, If the addiction medication does not have a diagnosis code, the pop up will still appear.
- Non -NADEAN users SHOULD NOT enter anything into the NADEAN field.
- Providers should put "off label" in the "note to pharmacy" field.
When you prescribe a medication that requires a NADEAN, you will be prompted to set up your NADEAN. When you select Click Here, you will be taken to the eRx Info tab (as seen above) to enter your number.
