How to Search for a Patient-Web & iPad

From the web, the easiest way to search for a Patient is using the search bar, which is at the top of your DrChrono account anywhere you go. All you need to do is simply start typing the patient's name and select it from the list. This will take you to the patient's chart. You can also go to Patients > Patient List and find your patient there.

You can search by different demographic data points for the patient.

Name: Enter the patient's name in the search field.
Date of Birth: Enter the date of birth for the patient in MMDDYY format.
Phone Number: Enter the phone number for the patient without any hyphens or parentheses 4435555555.
Email: Enter the email address for the patient including the @ sample@fake.com.
Chart ID: Enter the chart ID of the patient.

From the iPad, the process is very similar to the web. Tap the search icon ()on the and a search field will show up at the top. Type in a patient's name, date of birth, phone number, email, or chart ID and select the Patient. This will bring you into the patient's chart on the iPad.
