Adding Medications to the Patient Medication List on the iPad

You can quickly and easily add medications to a patient's chart on the iPad EHR. This article will guide you through the process.

Medications can be accessed through a few places in the app, but the quickest way is to tap on the patient's name and select Medications.

Here you can view all the current medications in a patient's chart. Tap the (iPad_Plus_icon.png) icon to add a new medication.

Enter the medication name in the search field. The results will display the medications by dosage from the Surescripts database. Tap on the medication to select it.

Enter any other details for the medication and tap Save to add the medication to the patient's medication history. Repeat as necessary for additional medications.

You can also access medications after selecting Start Visit from the main appointment screen under the Medications & Allergies tab under the H&P or SOAP templates. Tap the plus ( iPad_Plus_Icon_Blue_on_Gray.png) icon to add a medication.

If you are in the patient's chart, you can add medications by selecting Medications & Allergies. Tap the plus ( iPad_Plus_Icon_Blue_on_Gray.png) icon to add a medication.
