There are several items available for use located under the Patient menu on the iPhone EHR app. This tutorial will guide you through these options.
- To access the patient menu, select the patient or appointment.
- After you have selected the patient, tap on the patient menu icon () to open the menu. The full menu is made up of two sections: the Patient menu and the Actions menu. This article will focus on the items under the Patient menu.
Patient Information
Under the Patient Information tab, you can view the patient's demographic information. Tap the Edit button to make any changes to the patient's demographic information.
Patient History
The Patient History tab shows documents such as clinical notes, lab results, consent forms, uploaded forms, or clinical photos taken with the iPhone or iPad. Just tap a document to view it.
Face Sheet
The Face Sheet shows the patient's information related to conditions, medications, allergies, recent vitals, lab results, family history, and any demographic notes recorded in the chart.
Timeline
The Timeline is similar to the Patient History tab, but the documents are displayed in chronological order.
Problems
The problems section will display any active or inactive problems, including the start date. You can also add diagnoses here by tapping the + sign.
Medications
Under the Medications tab, you can view any medications you have prescribed or manually entered in under the patient's chart. This does not include medications the patient entered in during the check-in app process.
Allergies
The Allergy tab will show any allergies the patient has, including if they are currently active or inactive allergies. You can add, edit, or make any allergies inactive from here.
Labs
Under the Labs tab, you can view results and start a new lab order by tapping the () icon.
Vitals
Under the Vitals tab, you can view vitals history and enter vitals for the current visit.
Patient Flags
Under the Patient Flags menu, you can view existing flags and add new flags to the patient.
Appointment List
The Appointment List shows past and future appointments. You can view any appointment by tapping on the view options.
Family History
Family History can be viewed and added under the Family History tab. This corresponds directly to the Family History section in the patient's chart on the web.
Growth Charts
Growth charts can be found and utilized in the Growth Chart tab.
Tasks
The Tasks tab allows you to view and open any tasks related to the patient.
Communication History
Under the Communication History tab, you can view patient messages, reminders sent to the patient, and any communication logs with the patient.
