Canceling a Prescription in the Prescription Logs

If you send 3 copies of a prescription with effective dates 30 days apart to equal a 90-day supply, those prescriptions will be available for cancellation or discontinuation in the Prescription Log section of the patient’s chart.

You will see the prescription under the Active Medication Orders and under the Prescription Logs section you will see the 3 prescriptions you sent.

Next to each prescription you can cancel or discontinue the medication.

Next, you can cancel or discontinue the prescription. Please note the effective date for the medication to ensure you are canceling the correct prescription.

After you cancel or discontinue the prescription, the red X will no longer appear next to the medication.

Selecting Cancel and Send New eRx will remove the ability to cancel the prescription in the Prescription Logs and the new prescription will be added.
