Good Faith Estimate: What if the patient declines the estimate?

Patient Declines the Estimate


After you have created the GFE/estimation document, there is a chance that the patient will say "No, thank you". It's important to mark the decline to keep your records up to date.

If a patient does decline an estimate, it's easy in DrChrono to mark it as such. Just access the patient's account and select Patient Cost Estimator. Under the Action tab on the row of the applicable estimate, select the three horizontal dots.



A menu will open that will allow you to "Mark as Declined". Once selected, the state of the estimate will change to Declined.
