In the DrChrono EHR app, you can order lab tests just as you would with the browser EHR.
To begin, navigate to a patient's chart and tap on their name. From the dropdown menu, select Labs.
A list of your previously ordered labs will appear. To send a new lab test, tap on the (
A form will appear that allows you to fill out the details of your lab order. Here you will need to enter who to bill, the specimen collection date, any ICD-10 codes, notes, your office, and the lab to send to. On the requisition form, the ordering provider will reflect the provider who is logged in. You can also select from your favorites.
You can also select the lab on the bottom half of the form. Tap on this box to search for the test you would like to conduct. You may choose multiple tests by selecting the '+' button. To save a lab as a favorite tap the star (
After everything is filled out, select Submit to send your lab order. To verify that your lab was sent, you may select Lab from your patient chart to check that the lab you sent is now on that list.
