You can verify your patient's cell phone number to ensure it can be used for text message reminders. This verification can be helpful if a patient's home phone number was accidentally entered into the cell phone field.
In the patient's chart go to Demographics and select the Important tab. Click on the link to verify the patient's number.
A window will open. Enter the patient's number and click Search.
The results will appear. The Phone Line Type will allow you to confirm whether or not it is a cell phone in order to receive text message reminders.
