Prescription drafts are available in DrChrono. Drafts can be made in the patient's chart or with a refill request and can be completed by providers to review and send later. Prescription drafts can also be completed by staff members for the provider to complete later.
Prescription drafts can be completed anytime. They do not need to be connected to an appointment but can be created before, during, or after a visit.
To save a draft on iPad:
Navigate to the "Send eRX" page, fill out the necessary fields, and then select "Preview." From this screen, you can tap on "Save Draft" in the top right corner.
Next, tap the back button and you'll see Drafts followed by a number on the top right. Tap Drafts to open your saved draft list.
