Distinction between regular and optional clinical notes

  • Appointments with an optional clinical note show the Optional Note label instead of View Note.
  • Regular appointments continue to show View Note for mandatory clinical notes.

Enhancements

Unification of billing code editor screen

We updated CPT and HCPCS editing functions so they are consistent on both the iPhone and iPad.

Frozen transaction reporting

  • Charges, insurance payments, patient payments, adjustments, and denials are now frozen based on their posted (created) date.
  • Once transactions are frozen, reports consistently reflect the same data regardless of when they are generated.
  • Customers must finalize or delete unmatched ERA transactions before initial freezing.

New workflow for future dated charges

  • When charges are entered for a future appointment date, they are classified as temporary charges and do not appear in any reports.
  • Once you save the appointment on or after the appointment date, these temporary charges are converted to actual charges and begin to reflect in the reports.
