DrChrono App Unlock PIN

The DrChrono App Unlock PIN is the four-digit code you use to access the DrChrono EHR app after a period of inactivity. 

If you forget your PIN, you can log in with your username and password on the DrChrono EHR app or change your PIN from the DrChrono web application.

View your PIN

From the DrChrono web application

  1. Select Account > Account Settings > Profile tab.
  2. Next to DrChrono App Unlock PIN, select View/Edit.

  1. Enter your DrChrono password and select Confirm.

From an iPad or iPhone

  1. Tap Account > SettingsDrChrono App Unlock PIN.

  1. Tap View Your PIN.

The PIN appears briefly.

Change your PIN

From the DrChrono web application

  1. Select Account > Account Settings > Profile tab.
  2. Next to DrChrono App Unlock PIN, select View/Edit.
  3. Enter your DrChrono password and select Confirm.
  4. Change your PIN and then select Update Entire Profile.

The PIN has been changed for both the DrChrono web application and the DrChrono EHR app.

From an iPad or iPhone

  1. Tap Account > Settings > DrChrono App Unlock PIN.
  2. Tap Change Your PIN.
  3. Enter your four-digit PIN.
  4. Reenter your PIN.

The PIN has been changed for both the DrChrono EHR app and the DrChrono web application.

Disable the PIN on an iPad or iPhone

  1. Tap Account > Settings > DrChrono App Unlock PIN.
  2. Tap Disable 4-digit PIN Protection.
  3. Tap Disable.

The only option available under DrChrono App Unlock PIN is Enable 4-digit PIN Protection.

Enable the PIN on an iPad or iPhone

  1. Tap Account > Settings > DrChrono App Unlock PIN.
  2. Tap Enable 4-digit PIN Protection.
  3. Enter your four-digit PIN.
  4. Reenter your PIN.

The PIN has been changed for both the DrChrono EHR app and the DrChrono web application.

Require a PIN code on an iPad or iPhone

  1. Tap Account > Settings > DrChrono App Unlock PIN.
  2. Tap Require PIN code.
  3. Select the PIN entry timeout duration before a PIN is required to log back in.
