When requesting real-time eligibility (RTE) requests through ePS for Medicare, please use payer ID MCELG. This payer ID will return eligibility for traditional Medicare, Railroad Medicare, and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) payers. You do not need to enter each state's payer ID to request RTE information.
If you have already enrolled with any of the traditional Medicare, RR Medicare, or DMERC payer ID#s, we will update your enrollment request with payer ID MCELG. There is no need to initiate enrollment again.
