This feature is currently only available to select pilot program users. It will be available for all users in the coming weeks.
You can add the days supply to prescriptions you send and medications you add to a patient's chart. The days supply field is required for schedule II controlled substance prescriptions. Days supply can help reduce the pharmacy clarification rate and improve the accuracy of PDMP such as the Morphine Milligram Equivalent (MME) associated with each dispensing.
When you send a prescription, there is a Days Supply field for you to enter the supply for the medication.
Tap the patient's name and then select Send eRx
If you are adding a medication to the patient's chart, you can also enter the days supply. Tap the patient's name, select Medications, and tap on the plus sign in the top right corner.
You can also edit a days supply on the iPad. Tap the patient's name, tap Medications, and choose which medication you'd like to edit.
