Workers' Compensation claims require a Condition Code to populate in HCFA box 10D, and transmit in loop 2300 segment HI on EDI files. The condition codes can be entered on the patient's appointment screen.
- Navigate to Billing > Live Claims Feed
- Search for your patient and the date of service.
- Press on the blue date of service to enter the billing details screen.
- In the right-hand column, there are drop-down boxes to add both the Workers' Comp Condition Code and the Other Condition Code that will appear in the correct place on the HCFA 1500 form and the EDI file.
