Use this guide to connect a new S710 card reader to DrChrono Payments. Once it's connected, your practice can start accepting tap, chip, and swipe payments.
Requirements: DrChrono Payments must be turned on, with a Stripe merchant account connected. The S710 doesn't work with Worldpay merchant accounts.
Turn on the device and connect to WiFi
Press and hold the button in the top-right corner of the S710 until the screen turns on.
Follow the setup wizard on the device screen to connect it to your practice's WiFi network.
When setup finishes, the device screen shows a 3-word activation code.
Tip: Keep this screen visible. You'll enter this code in the next section, and it expires after a short time.
Add the device in DrChrono
Select Account Settings > Patient Payments.
Scroll to the device list and select Add Device.
Enter a device name, such as Front Desk 1.
(Optional) Enter an idle message. This message appears on the device screen when it isn't in use.
Enter the 3-word activation code from the device screen.
(Optional) Select one or more merchant accounts to connect the device to. If you leave this blank, the device is available to all Stripe merchant accounts for the practice.
Select Add Device.
Confirm the connection
Find the device in the device list.
Confirm the status shows Connected.
