MIPS Dashboard
We updated the CMS EHR Certification ID displayed on the MIPS Dashboard (Clinical > MIPS /MACRA) to reflect the new 2025 CMS certification format. This ensures the certification ID shown in DrChrono aligns with current CMS requirements and supports accurate MIPS reporting and compliance for the 2025 reporting year.

โจ Enhancements
Clinical Form Management
We added the Reset to Default option to Clinical Form Management, allowing users to restore preset forms—such as H&P and SOAP—to their original settings if they have been modified.
This option is available only for preset forms and aligns Clinical Form Management with the functionality previously available in the legacy Form Builder.
View-only access for Care Plans
You now have more flexibility and control over who can see and manage Care Plans across your practice.
What’s new:
- Introduced a new View Care Plans permission that provides read-only access to Care Plans and is off by default.
- Users with Manage Care Plans can view and edit Care Plans, while users with View Care Plans can only view but not edit.
- If neither permission is enabled, Care Plans are hidden from the user.
- Care Plan access is available only when the Care Plan feature is enabled and does not impact accounts that haven’t turned it on.
๐ Account Permissions Overview
HCPCS codes effective 4/01/2026
HCPCS codes effective April 1, 2026, have been loaded into the DrChrono system and are available for use on patient claims.
Payer ID added for Carisk Partners
- Payer ID E2441: North American Risk Services NARS
- Payer ID E1514: Los Angeles Department Water and Power
- Payer ID E4750 Risk Management Planning Group
- Payer ID E0219 GCG Risk Management NYWC 1500s
Enhanced security for Support PIN visibility
We improved how your Support PIN appears in the footer to secure your account. The Support PIN now hides by default whenever you load, refresh, or navigate between pages. A new icon next to the Support PIN lets you reveal the PIN only when needed. Select the eye icon to show or hide the PIN.

๐ Resolutions
Appointment Report filter excludes unselected statuses
We fixed an issue where deselecting Appointment Status or Billing Status options in the Appointment Report filter did not work as expected—the report still returned results for all statuses, as if every option remained selected. Now, the report accurately reflects your filter selections.
Staff members can edit offices for providers with mutual consultant access
We fixed an issue where staff linked to a provider with consultant access couldn't edit the offices of other providers, even with mutual consultant access. Staff can now fully edit offices across all providers with mutual consultant access, with consistent view and edit permissions.
Patient chart sidebar no longer overlaps past appointments on subsequent pages
We fixed an issue where navigating to page 2 or beyond in the past appointments section of a patient's chart caused the appointment list to be partially covered by the patient chart sidebar, making appointment details difficult to view. The full list of appointments is now visible on all pages, with the patient chart sidebar displaying correctly alongside appointment details without overlap.
Appointment Report loading improvements
Previously, navigating to the Appointment Report caused the page to load indefinitely, blocking access. The Appointment Report now loads correctly.
Appointment time shows consistently after provider updates time zone
We fixed an issue where updating a provider's time zone caused appointment times to display inconsistently—correct on the Calendar, but mismatched in the appointment details window. Now, both views show the same time. When updating a time zone, the appointment time stays the same while the time zone adjusts.
Social security numbers and phone numbers auto-format in the patient chart Demographics page
Previously, SSNs and phone numbers entered on the Demographics page required manual formatting before saving. Now, SSNs auto-format as ###-##-#### and phone numbers as (xxx) xxx-xxxx upon saving. This format applies consistently when creating or editing patient records, including US and international numbers.
Phone numbers with 324 area code save successfully
We fixed an issue where entering a patient phone number with the 324 area code caused an error that prevented saving the number despite its valid format. The 324 area code is now recognized as valid, allowing phone numbers with it to be saved without error in cell, home, and office phone fields.
Sample data enable/disable actions logged in Audit Log
Previously, enabling or disabling sample data and sample billing data in Account Settings wasn't recorded, making it hard to track changes that confused providers in larger practice groups. These actions are now always recorded in the Audit Log.
Duplicate cover sheet no longer generated when faxing to own practice number
Previously, when a provider faxed a document from the patient chart to their practice's fax number, two cover sheets were produced—one in Outgoing Fax and another in the confirmation message, causing duplicate cover pages in the PDF preview. Now, self-fax actions generate a single cover sheet record with no duplicates in the confirmation message or PDF preview.
Prescription preview in Chrome
An issue in Chrome (v146) that prevented prescription previews from appearing when reordering medications has been resolved. You can now view prescription previews as expected when reordering medications in Chrome.
Deleting saved credit cards on a patient chart
We fixed an issue that prevented the deletion of a saved card on a patient’s chart.
Patient memberships creating appointments
We resolved an issue in which appointments were created for patients starting a payment plan when the payment date overlapped with their scheduled payment date.
Viewing a patient payment plan under the practice group
We fixed an issue that prevented a patient’s payment plan from appearing when viewing the account as a practice group.
Saving credit card details when using Stripe legacy payments
We fixed an issue that prevented patients from saving card details in the OnPatient portal when using Stripe legacy payments.
Editing or archiving existing EPRNT payer IDs
We fixed an issue that prevented editing or archiving existing EPRNT payer IDs.
๐ Adding a Payer or Updating the Payer Address In DrChrono
Generating a patient statement
We resolved an issue where generating patient statements for certain accounts failed and displayed the error “Failed generating 1 patient statements” in the Message Center. Patient statements now generate and export to the Message Center as expected.
Missing insurance information error
When insurance information is added or updated in the patient chart Demographics page, all open (unbilled) appointments within the active coverage date range can automatically reflect the most up-to-date insurance details. This helps ensure accurate assignment of primary and secondary insurance based on effective dates, without requiring manual updates.
Appointments that have already been billed, submitted, or paid will remain unchanged.
This feature was recently introduced and is currently being reenabled on a limited, opt-in basis as we continue to monitor performance. If you would like it enabled for your account, open a Support case.
Copay label on the Calendar
We fixed an issue with the copay label on the Calendar. The copay indicator in the Daily View has been restored. The indicator now appears when the appointment’s payment profile is not set to cash, and a payment has been collected and tied to that specific visit. This update ensures consistent visibility of collected copays directly on the schedule.
๐ Copay on Daily Calendar View
As part of this release, we are continuing our ongoing work to assess, monitor, and address any security vulnerabilities.
