This month's mobile update brings the updated Message Center with threaded patient conversations to the EHR app, along with custom appointment fields, the iOS 26 Liquid Glass look, and California workers' compensation forms on iPhone. Early access adds the Stripe S710 terminal, an updated fax inbox, and Scribe rich text.
The DrChrono EHR app is updated for Apple's iOS 26 Liquid Glass design, following the Check-In app update in August, so the app keeps working and looking right on the latest iOS.
- โจ Navigation bars, tab bars, and lists updated for iOS 26
The updated Message Center in the EHR app groups patient messages into conversations and moves to a new, modernized navigation, so you can follow a whole conversation in one place instead of searching for earlier context.
- ๐ฌ Earlier messages on the same topic appear together in one thread
- ๐งญ A new layout that upcoming Message Center sections, like fax and tasks, build on
The Custom Data tab from the web now appears in the Appointment Details panel in the EHR app, so your team can capture custom fields during the visit instead of writing them down for the front desk to enter later.
- ๐ Fill in your practice's custom appointment fields right from the app
- โ๏ธ Fields still come from your existing setup on the web
Each section in Appointment Details now has its own header that you can collapse or expand, so you can get straight to the information you need with far less scrolling.
- โ๏ธ Collapse any section and everything below moves up into view
- ๐ Jump straight to Add Payment, payment history, and View All for patient flags, vitals, and consent forms
The CA Workers Comp Form option is now in the clinical note Tools menu on iPhone, matching what's already on iPad, so you can fill it out from whichever device you have in hand.
- ๐ Move through each tab of the form one screen at a time
- ๐พ Your entries save as you move between tabs
- ๐ The Medications module in the patient drop-down now looks and works like the one in the clinical note, including print, sign, and draw
- ๐ Print and fax are now available on the OnPatient Check-In tab of a clinical note, just like on the web
As part of this release, we are continuing our ongoing work to assess, monitor, and address any security vulnerabilities.
The Stripe S710 terminal connects directly to DrChrono Payments, so you can take chip, tap, and swipe payments from the EHR app and the Check-In app, with each payment recorded automatically.
- ๐ณ Chip, tap, and swipe on a Wi-Fi-enabled terminal
- ๐ No separate POS to reconcile against DrChrono
The Incoming Fax inbox in the EHR app now matches the web, so staff can handle faxes the same way on iPad, iPhone, or a computer.
- ๐งพ Fax and patient message headers show more patient information
- ๐ Updated filters and clearer sender details
- ๐ Attach multiple items to a task, just like on the web
The yellow sticky note in the clinical note now supports rich text in the EHR app, so formatting from EverHealth Scribe comes through intact and you can edit it in place.
- โ๏ธ Scribe formatting carries into DrChrono as is
- ๐ช Edit with formatting right in the note, so notes look the same in Scribe and DrChrono
The After Visit Summary now has a home in the clinical note on mobile, filled in from EverHealth Scribe or by hand if you don't use Scribe, with the same tools you use for your other templates.
- ๐ Copy from another note, then preview, save, print, or fax the section
- ๐ฒ Send the section to the patient's OnPatient account, and retract it if you need to send an updated copy
- โ Use the Include in Note toggle to control what goes into the final note
