A minimum password length of 12 characters was implemented to meet industry standards and best practices, enhancing the protection of patient accounts, sensitive information, and the DrChrono platform’s overall security.
Along with a strong password, we also recommend enabling two-factor authentication for added security.
Requirements
You must change your password at least once every 90 days. You will be prompted when it's time to update it.
- A 12-character minimum and 64-character maximum length
- Meet three of the following criteria:
- At least one capital letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one special character
- No sequential or repetitive characters (for example, 12345 or aaaaaa)
- No context-specific passwords (for example, drChrono2024)
- No commonly used passwords (for example, p@ssw0rd1234)
- The same password may not be reused for at least five password change periods.
Use a password manager to keep your passwords safe, and employ a password generator to create strong, secure passwords.
