ONC Update 2025: Patient Demographics

DrChrono has updated how patient information is stored and managed in the DrChrono system to meet new healthcare data standards for USCDI v3 (United States Core Data for Interoperability). The modifications are to ensure compliance with the latest standards and to enhance the overall quality and accuracy of patient information within the DrChrono EHR platform.

Why This Update Matters 

  • Help ensure your patient information is accurately recorded
  • Allow better information sharing between different healthcare systems
  • Are required by healthcare regulations that all systems must follow by December 31, 2025

What Has Changed

Users will notice some new or expanded fields for patient information in the system. These changes make it easier to record complete and accurate details about patients.
