We’re excited to introduce real-time claim submission through ePS. There are no changes to your existing workflow or user interface; however, once a claim passes the claim scrubbing process, it will be transmitted to the clearinghouse immediately rather than waiting for the scheduled batch submission cycles.
With this enhancement, claim statuses update right away, providing faster visibility into submission activity. By sending claims to the clearinghouse sooner, practices can receive payer acknowledgments, rejections, and error notifications more quickly, allowing for faster corrections and resubmissions when needed.
This improvement helps streamline the revenue cycle by reducing submission delays, improving transparency for billers, and supporting faster reimbursement.
If your practice prefers to continue using batch claim submission, you can disable real-time submission by navigating to Account > Account Settings > Medical Billing and unchecking Enable real-time claim submission option.
This setting is only visible under the practice's primary provider's account.
When disabled, claims will be held and submitted during the scheduled batch processing cycles, as they were previously. This setting applies at the practice level, so all users within the practice will use either real-time submission or batch submission.
